These are various pictures, and originally had no chronological order though they are starting to be broken up by visits. They have been taken during visits with the Chadwicks.
We first met the Chadwick's in the spring of 2009. They had applied to Great Dane Rescue, Inc., and we volunteered to perform the home check. We called them ahead of time, as we do for any of these, and asked whether they already had a type of dane in mind. We ask, because at the time, we had 3 that we could bring, and it allowed us to somewhat tailor the visit to be more applicable to their vision. They told us to bring all 3 of ours. I no longer remember why we did, as we would normally just stick with bringing one. Anyhow, we went with our 3, chatted for what seemed to be the entire afternoon, and it wasn't long before they were adopting Sady. Sady has very soft fur, but she does shed it more than the average Great Dane. And then, in the summer of 2011, the brought Gideon into their home. He was a year old at the time. He is very mischievous. They borrowed a crate from us, and he broke out of it. Leave him alone with some unattended food, and consider it eaten. Oh, he's a handful. And unfortunately, Gideon and Danforth don't get along very well, so when we do go over, we keep them apart from each other. It's a shame, and perhaps they will get past their grudge, and be friends.

Terry hadn't met Guinness yet, although Marylin had. It was such a beautiful Spring day that we brought everyone over to have some play in their backyard, and for Terry to meet Guinness.

Terry hadn't met Polka yet, so we brought Polka over to meet Terry, Sady and Gideon. Polka played endlessly, while still managing to get Gideon to play with him. Sady, who is 7 years old, remarkably found Polka to be tolerable. She normally gives a little warning to young, irritating dogs. I find it pretty impressive that Polka is tolerable to mature dogs.
